AT&T HTC Lancaster Android Phone

Other than Motorola’s Heron, AT&T is also going to to launch HTC’s Lancaster, the Android-based “Consumer Social Messaging Device”. The design of the Lancaster basically combines the G2 Magic and G1 Dream, and offers a sliding QWERTY keyboard.


HTC’s Lancaster is powered by Qualcomm’s ARM processor and chipset. It features a 2.8-inch 240×320 touchscreen, a 3 Megapixel camera, built-in aGPS support, Bluetooth and WiFi. It supports dual-band WCDMA/HSDPA 3.5 and quad-band GSM networks. The phone supports H.263 and H.264 video playback and has a microSD card slot.

According to AT&T’s slide, the Lancaster will be released on August 2009.
