Lenovo IdeaPad S12 Ion Netbook

Lenovo has finally come to its senses and announced a worthwhile 12-inch netbook–err, laptop–powered with Intel’s Atom processor and NVIDIA’s Ion graphics (making it the world’s first laptop with the said graphics chip). The “netbook” in question here is the Lenovo IdeaPad S12, a 12-inch screen-equipped little lappie that comes with a full-size keyboard (yep, 100% full-sized), 3 USB ports, built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet jack, HDMI/VGA-out ports, 1GB of RAM and choices between 160GB, 250GB and 320GB hard disk space. Lenovo promises that the IdeaPad S12 will be able to handle 1080p video just fine, and even play mainstream games such as Call of Duty 4, World of Warcraft, Spore, Portal and more. Of course, no one will probably want to play on its 12-inch screen, and for that purpose, it has a dedicated HDMI-out port (mentioned earlier). The best part about the Lenovo IdeaPad S12 is its price: it will come out bundled with Windows XP Home costing only $449 USD next month, which translates to just a little over 21,000 Pesos. Pretty sweet, eh? See a gallery of the Lenovo IdeaPad S12 and its press release after the break.
